Imports Dragon, the Quebec based toy company, is celebrating its 20th anniversary by donating over $3,000,000 worth of toys this holiday season.

‘’For the last 20 years, Canadians across the country have supported Imports Dragon, by welcoming our toys into their homes. They’ve collected Shopkins, cuddled with Caillou, played with NHL Figures, colored Drawmasters, matched Twozies, stacked Grossery Gangs and Trash Packs, and smelled Pikmi Pops. Without those families, Imports Dragon wouldn’t be the company it is today. This donation is just a small token of our gratitude, and hopefully it will bring happiness to those in need, at the most special time of year,” said Stephan Tetrault, President of Imports Dragon

The main objective behind this donation is quite simple; to bring the magic of the holidays to children who are less fortunate. Imports Dragon thanks all Canadians for their continued support and invite any organization that wishes to participate in this campaign to visit and submit their necessary information. Statistics Canada reported that in 2015, 17 per cent of Canadian children under the age of 18 lived in low-income households, a figure that has stayed virtually unchanged for a decade even as median incomes have steadily gone up across the country. Moreover, children in lone-parent households were three-and-a-half times more likely to live in poverty than their counterparts in two-parent families, even as the number of low-income, single-parents has declined since the late 1990s.

As Imports Dragon’s main office is located in Boisbriand, Quebec, $1,500,000 worth of toys will be donated in Quebec, while the remaining $1,500,000 donations will be distributed across the rest of Canada to help as many children as possible to celebrate a beautiful Christmas day.

Happy Holidays from Imports Dragon
